SRINAGAR: Awareness programme about drug abuse was organised by Drug De-addiction Centre DPL Anantnag at village Tulkhan under the supervision of SDPO Bijbehara, Tanveer Ahmad.
Civil society members and a large number of youth particularly teenagers of the area participated in the programme. In-charge Drug De-addiction Centre, Mudasir Aziz interacted with youth and explained them about harmful effects of drugs and psychotropic substances and the steps for the prevention of drug abuse.
The participants were encouraged to share their problems and issues related to substance abuse with the Drug De-addiction Centre established by Police in DPL Anantnag. Among others, DySP, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat and other police officers were present.
