DDC reviews performance of banks
POONCH: To review the performance of the first quarter of the financial year 2014-15, District Development Commissioner, Poonch, M.H Malik chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) in the conference hall of Dak Bungalow Poonch.
District Lead Manager, Poonch, Mohd Shafi Ayaz, LDO, RBI, S. K Watal, DDO NABARD, Des Raj, district heads of all the banks and district officers of the line departments attended the meeting.
While reviewing the performance, the DDC emphasised the need for inclusion of all the households which do not have any bank account. He said that response to the recently launched comprehensive financial inclusion scheme PNJDY has been very positive and the banks should keep their efforts on to tap the opportunity. He also laid emphasis on the need of organising financial literacy awareness camps particularly in the far-flung areas.
He further said that the banks should make easier and hassle free lending procedures so that eligible and deserving people can take loans. He directed all the sponsoring departments to expedite their process of selection and sponsorship of loan cases of educated unemployed youth so that they are able to get the financing in time to establish their own income generating units.
He asked for achieving 100 per cent KCC in the district and instructed the banks and Agriculture Department to remove all the bottlenecks in the process of sanctioning of these cases. He asked the banks and all the line departments to work in coordination to achieve the fixed targets.
