GANDERBAL: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz on Friday visited Kheer Bhawani to review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Mela.
DDC directed the officers to ensure that devotees do not face any sort of inconvenience. He stressed upon the officers to keep close coordination so that all possible facilities are made available to the devotees during Kheer Bhawani Mela. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the shrine complex. Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits are expected to pay obeisance at the temple on 26th May, 2015.
Later DDC also visited Government Degree College Ganderbal as well as Physical Education College Ganderbal and took stock of functioning of these colleges. DDC enjoined upon the College authorities to maintain discipline and regular attendance besides ensuring quality education to the students.
