DDC reviews implementation of DDB decisions

POONCH: The District Development Commissioner Poonch, Tariq Ahamad Zargar on Tuesday took a review of the implementation of the decisions taken in the last District Development Board (DDB) meeting.
The meeting also took a comprehensive review of the progress of various ongoing developmental projects. The meeting was attended by ADDC, Chief Planning Officer, ACR,CMO, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACD, Executive Engineers of PDD,PWD, PHE, besides district and sectoral officers.
The DDC directed for immediate reconstruction of PMGSY Road at Chamer Kanari , some stretches of which have been damaged due to landslides by laying crates.
The DDC directed Sports Council and Executive Engineer PWD for early completion of left out works on important projects including indoor stadium at Poonch, youth hostel, Pahari hostel, Government Degree College Surnkote and early completion of mini-secretariat building at Mendhar. The meeting was informed that all pre-execution formalities for the construction of motorable bridge on Mandi-Loran Sawajjian Road have been completed and the works would be started soon. The DDC asked the Tourism Department authorities to pace up the work for developing facilities in Tourist Facilitation Centre at Loran. While reviewing the health scenario in the district, the DDC directed the CMO to pace up the works and coordinate with executing agency for the early completion of hospital building and AMT school at Surnkote .
He stressed upon the executing agency to complete the furnishing work of the all upcoming hostel buildings as well.
The DDC further directed the officers to put in their best efforts for realizing the goals and targets envisaged in annual plan so that benefits reach to the people.
