DDC for action against delinquent officers

KATHUA: District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary reviewed the status of supply of essential services in the district and called for strict action against delinquent officials of essential departments.
A detailed review of availability of essential supplies and services was taken in the meeting chaired by the DDC. Availability of ration in various areas, power supply and curtailment schedule, drinking water supply and tanker services, machinery of mechanical department, public transport, status of assessment of crop loss, attendance in government offices and other issues were discussed in the meeting.
Taking serious note of damage of pumping machinery and equipment of mechanical department leading to shortage of water supply in Kandi and border areas the DDC warned the officers of department for serious action in case of delay in repairs and restoration. He emphasised for timely replacement of transformers and PHE equipment for efficient power and water supply. Reviewing the details of Monitoring Cell regarding essential supplies the DDC expressed concern and asked officers for immediate curative measures failing which action shall be initiated against them.
DDC also reviewed the ration supply, sanitation and punctuality in government offices. CEO Municipal Council Kathua was directed for immediate sanitation drive in town. He called for strict checking of punctuality in offices for which Tehsildars have been directed for frequent inspections.
ADDC Dr Manmohan Singh, ADC Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, SP Nasir Khan, CPO Ram Rattan, RTO Nazir Sheikh, ACR Atul Gupta, ACD Sunil Sharma, Superintending Engineers, ExEns of PDD, PWD, Mechanical, PHE, Flood Control, Irrigation, RTIC; CMO, CEO, AD CAPD and officers of all line departments attended the meeting.
