KATHUA: Dr. Shahid Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua who has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur was accorded warm farewell by the officers of the district administration Kathua.
The officers recalled that Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary during his tenure of almost one year as Deputy Commissioner initiated a number of steps aimed at development of district Kathua whose impact will be observed in the near future.
The district officers later honoured Dr. Shahid Iqbal (who has recently been awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Meritorious Civil Services) by presenting him memento.
Prominent Officers present on the occasion included incoming Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal, ADDC, S Manmohan Singh, ADC, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad, CEO Tourism, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, RTO, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, DC Toll Post and a host of other officers which included SDMs, Tehsildars, Collectors and Block Development Officers.
UDHAMPUR: A felicitation-cum-farewell ceremony was held at Govt. Hr. Sec. School (Boys) Udhampur to felicitate Yasha Mudgal Deputy Commissioner Udhampur for her priceless contribution towards the school. Since she is going to join as Director School Education Jammu shortly, this function was also a sort of farewell to Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and welcome to the coming Director. Meanwhile Citizens forum Udhampur also organised an impressive function in which outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Yasha Mudgal was given warm farewell.
Function was attended by DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, Surinder Gupta, SSP Udhampur, Suleman Chowdhary, JD Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, all district officers, members of the district citizen’s forum and prominent citizens of the Udhampur district.
While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner thanked the citizens forum for giving respect and honour to her.
Speaking on the occasion senior citizen Dr RC Nagar, Rama Nand Baria, Raj Guru, Sunil Gupta and Vikram Singh Slathia highlighted the ever commendable services of deputy commissioner.
Lok Vikas Dal President Vikram Singh Slathia, Rajan Singh, BAR members headed by Bharart Bushan Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Shashi Aroa, Ch. Mohd Shafi, Rajesh Gupta, Sanjeet Bavoria, Sham Saropp Kalsotra, Sham Kalsotra, Sr. Congress leader Ashwani Khajuira, Ravi Malguria, Chander Shekhar, Sunil Singh and many more presented bouquet and memento to her.
POONCH: The Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, M.H Malik, was accorded warm farewell by social, political and religious organisations besides officers and officials of district administration on his transfer as Secretary to Chief Minister.
In farewell functions held at various places in the district, the civil society organisations lauded the contribution of Malik especially for conducting peaceful elections to Legislative Assembly, restoration of flood hit public infrastructure, transparent distribution of relief besides maintaining peace and communal harmony and expediting development process in the district.
