KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma on Sunday held an interactive meeting with PRIs and civil society members here at Paddar and briefed them about the arrangements put in place for the smooth and hassle free conduct of Annual Shree Machail Mata Yatra 2022.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Sham Lal; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; SDM Paddar, Dr Rishi Sharma; Tehsildar Paddar, Rohit Kumar; BDO Paddar Ravi Kumar; Xen PHE, Ajay Talwar; BMO Paddar, Dr Anil Sharma besides concerned district and sectoral officers remained present in the meeting.
During the interactive meeting, the DC briefed in detail the arrangements put in place by the district Administration to facilitate Yatries, besides sought valuable suggestions of PRIs and Prominent persons for the smooth conduct of the annual yatra and all the suggestions were noted down.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that Health Emergency and security centres are being established at designated points along with langars en-route the Shrine to provide all requisite facilities to the Yatris at one stop.
He further informed that comprehensive and fool proof plans have been formulated for security arrangements, establishment of additional toilets, temporary shelter Sheds en-route the shrine, uninterrupted Drinking water and power Supply,issuance of langar permissions, provision of sanitation, Traffic and parking management, notification of Bus fare, installation of complaint Boxes, Helicopter facility to make the Yatra of pilgrims safe and smooth.
Hoardings and signages are being installed at designated places with information about the Medicare facility, ATM, Langer etc for the Yatris besides explaining about Dos and Don’ts to be observed during the pilgrimage, he briefed during the meeting.
Discussion about registration process of Yatris, execution of development works started for the smooth conduct of Yatra was also held during the meeting.
Regarding the construction of Bailey Bridge at Kundhail, the DC informed that the restoration work was going on a war footing and the bridge would be completed well before the start of Yatra.
He urged the local civil society members, departmental heads and PRIs to work in tandem to make this Yatra a grand success. Later, the DC inspected patient care facilities at PHC Atholi. He inquired from BMO Paddar about the stock and supply of essential medicines and other Medicare arrangements like Ambulance facility in the sub Division especially for ensuing Yatra. He also inspected the ongoing construction work of newly constructed PHC Atholi.
Meanwhile, he directed all local administration to brace up and fine tune the arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of Yatra.
