BARAMULLA: The Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone while reviewing the Muharum arrangements at a meeting emphasised the concerned officers to ensure availability of rice, sugar, kerosene oil, LPG to the people of Shia-dominant areas in the district. He also directed them to ensure supply of drinking water, un-interrupted power supply, sanitation and other essential services in these areas.
Dr Lone said that the committees have already been constituted to supervise the arrangements across the district. He stressed for intensifying market checking in the district to check hording and black marketing. He directed the officers to be in close touch with each other so that all the facilities are kept available for the people and the mourners do not face any difficulty during these holy days of Muharram.
