ANANTNAG: Keeping in view the early onset of winter Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Tasduq Jeelani reviewed disaster management preparedness on Monday for ensuring availability of essential commodities and snow clearance if and when need arises.
The meeting was attended by all the concerned Engineers of Mechanical Engineering Department, PDD, PMGSY and R&B besides officers of CAPD.
Deputy Commissioner directed for mobilizing the required men and machinery for snow clearance and dumping these at designated spots for quick and rapid responses keeping in view the ensuing Assembly Elections. It was also directed that adequate stock of essential commodities be made available to everyone besides stocking the same.
A disaster management team was also constituted for ensuring the snow clearance, Electric Supply, Drinking water and for ensuring availability of essential commodities. The team consisting of Executive Engineer, Mechanical Division Khanabal, (9697484527), Executive Engineer EM&RE Bijbehara (9419003087), Executive Engineer PHE Bijbehara (9419133099) and Deputy Director CAPD South Kashmir (9419032994) were directed to submit the status report to Deputy Commissioners Office on daily basis. The concerned officers can be contacted on the given numbers in case of any emergency.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to remain available for public queries and quick actions round the clock so that general public does not feel any problem.
