DC orders immediate suspension of Aadhaar Operators involved in forgery cases

RAJOURI: Taking serious note of reported irregularities in Aadhaar enrollment, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma on Wednesday ordered immediate suspension of the Aadhaar operators found involved in cases of forgery in Rajouri, particularly the manipulation of Date of Birth (DOB) at the time of Aadhaar updates and creation.
During a recent review meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, it was revealed that certain operators have violated established guidelines and legal provisions, raising significant concerns about the integrity of the Aadhaar enrollment process.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, DSEO Sandeep Sharma suspended Aadhaar operators with immediate effect.
The suspended Aadhar operators included Avais Ahmed, HAQ Darhal Thanamandi, Mohd Altaf, Govt GHSS Chingus, Amrit Anjum, ICDS Darhal H/Q Thananandi ICDS CDPO office, Karan Kumar, CDPO office Kalakote, Abdul Razaq, CDPO office Kalakote, Wazar Hussain, Near Priya Goldsmith Terayth.
The concerned departments have been directed to immediately cease all Aadhaar-related activities by these operators and seize their Aadhaar Kits. Additionally, legal and departmental proceedings will be initiated as per established norms to ensure accountability and prevent future fraudulent practices.
A detailed inquiry into the matter has been ordered, with the respective Tehsildar instructed to submit a comprehensive report within two days. This decisive action underscores the administration’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the Aadhaar system and ensuring public trust in the enrollment process.
