DC Jammu flags off PMARK Jammu Dualthon 70.3

JAMMU: The fourth edition of PMARK Jammu Duathlon 70.3 event concluded here on Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya was the Chief Guest on the occasion and was accompanied by Harvinder Singh ADC Jammu, Vinod Kumar SSP Jammu, Ishita, Atul Sharma SDM South, Sushil Khajuria Bishnah Tehsildar, Vikram Sharma SHO Bishnah and others.
The event was organized by P Mark and Jammu Hill Sports Club .
Addressing media on the occasion, DC Jammu said, “Jammu district administration welcome the all athletes as the Jammu Duathlon 70.3 encompassed a gruelling 1.2-mile run, 56-mile bike ride, and a half-marathon 13.1-mile run, drew athletes from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.”
“As such kind of event helps us to remain fit and moreover its motivate youth to choose the right path by staying away from Drugs,” DC Jammu added.
SSP Jammu Vinod Kumar said, “Events like these play a pivotal role in fostering a healthier society. The emergence of drug-related issues poses a significant threat to our well-being. It is imperative that individuals promptly share any information related to drugs with the police to address this growing concern.”
Organiser Archit Puri, Director of PBI India Pvt Ltd (Brand P Mark), and Chairman CII J&K UT said, “Our company’s commitment to producing wholesome and pure products. We’re passionate about promoting fitness and various physical activities. This event is a testament to our dedication to the cause, as we believe in making a meaningful contribution to the world of fitness.”
The key highlighted were over 200 athletes participated in the event, demonstrating the growing popularity of duathlons in India, the participants were met with a challenging yet breathtaking course, which showcased the natural beauty of the Jammu region.
Jammu Hills Sports Club expressed their satisfaction with the event’s success, saying, “We are thrilled to witness the overwhelming response to the PMARK Jammu Duathlon 70.3. The dedication and passion of the athletes, combined with the support of our partners, made this event an incredible experience for all involved. Anisa Nabi, Sukhpal and Col. Rahul Aggarwal also joined the event with other Indian army participants.
Later prizes announced Overall 70.3
Manav Radha secured first place followed by Kuldeep Kumar and Sukaran Raj Sharma in second and thiurd place respectively Overall 70.3.
In Overall Olympic distance, Parvaiz Ahmed secured first place, Aman Gupta got second and Nikhil Dehlan bagged third place.
