DC asks revenue officers to improve service delivery

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban Tariq Hussain Ganie on Wednesday convened a meeting of revenue officers to take stock of working and performance of the department.
The meeting was attended by ADC Angrez Singh, ACR Vivek Puri, SDM Gool Pankaj Balotra, Tehsildars and Niab Tehsildars.
Several issues of Revenue Department were discussed and the DC passed directions to officers for improving functioning and service delivery. He directed the concerned officers to submit the report of roznamcha to his office on monthly basis.
Officers were instructed for early completion of land acquisition process, preparation of Jambandi, attestation of mutations. Tehsildars were impressed upon to galvanise Girdawars and Patwaris of their jurisdictions to achieve the set targets for each process.
They were directed to submit inheritance mutations details with proper verification as per death record of Chowkidar register besides submitting the village wise detail of eviction of land encroachments.
They were also directed to conduct camp in their respective tehsils for which the date was fixed as August 21. During the camp the department will attest mutations and also aware the people about the various schemes of government. Tehsildars were further directed to identify people belonging to below poverty line and suffering from chronic disease and submit the details within 10 days.
The DC stressed upon the officers to launch massive drive to remove encroachments on state land.
