DC asks for early disposal of objections for Panchayat elections

UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Niraj Kumar on Wednesday asked the concerned officers to dispose of all the objections for Panchayat elections in a time bound manner.
Chairing a meeting to dispose of all the objections received with regard to proposed newly created Panchayats in district Udhampur for Panchayat Elections 2017 at DC Complex, the Deputy Commissioner said all the objections for Panchayat elections should be disposed off at the earliest.
District Panchayat Election Officer was also present on the occasion.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Subhash Chander Dogra, Assistant Commissioner Development Om Prakash, Deputy District Election Officer Sapna Kotwal, District Panchayat Officer Sandeep Seointra and all Block Development Officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, various strategies regarding the disposal of objections in a time bound manner were discussed in detail.
Pertinently, the District Level Committee is headed by the Deputy Commissioner as District Panchayat Officer as its Member Secretary while the concerned BDO is the Member of the said Committee, which is constituted by the Chief Electoral Officer.
