ANANTNAG: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Tasaduq Jeelani on Tuesday visited several flood hit areas including Shamishipora, Bijbehara, Jablipora, Sarsona, Shol, Feroz Shah Mohalla and reviewed the relief and rehabilitation process going in these areas.
Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by additional Deputy Commissioner, Engineers of PWD, PDD, I and FC and other concerned officers dealing with the relief and rehabilitation process.
Deputy Commissioner also inspected the work on pre-fabricated huts /shelter sheds coming out at these places and stressed on the concerned agencies to speed up the pace of work so that the sheds are ready in shortest possible time. Deputy Commissioner also visited the place at Shamsipora where 26 shelter sheds are being constructed by R&B and are at plinth level.
Deputy Commissioner also held public Darbars wherein the flood affected people shared their problems with the Deputy Commissioner who in turn assured them of every possible help from the district administration.
Deputy Commissioner said that the shelters will be completed within a short period and will be handover to the affected families so that they do not face any kind of problem during the harsh winters.
