DB’s directives in PIL regarding enhancing quality of facilities in Blind School

JAMMU: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by a NGO- Golden Heartz, seeking directions to state to provide sufficient infrastructure in the School for Blinds at Roop Nagar, Jammu including infrastructure of hostel facilities, boarding and lodging, extracurricular activities, study material for progression in life, specific computers with its software, the Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul observed that in terms of order passed on 29.12.2018, the Additional Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department, J&K, has filed compliance report, copy whereof has been furnished to other side. DB granted four weeks time to Vishal Sharma, DSGI and directed that respondents shall also update the status of implementation of the schemes, for which amount has been released.
