DAK to launch campaign against drug menace

SRINAGAR: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Thursday decided to launch a Valley wide campaign against drug menace.

Chairman DAK Dr G.M Mir, while presiding over the meeting of Central Executives of DAK decided that the campaign will start in the 2nd week of May. He said that main focus will be laid on students of high schools, higher secondary schools and colleges.

He said that religious preachers, psychiatrists and students will be involved in this campaign to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug menace.

Expressing his concern, Dr. Hakeem Vaqar, senior laparoscopic surgeon and senior executive member of the association, said that drug menace has reached to an alarming level and if not curbed in time, it can harm the society.
