JAMMU: Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu organised a workshop on Media Research Methodology here on Monday.
Dr Archana R Singh, Chairperson, School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the key speaker. She talked about various dimensions of research and research methodology in mass communication.
She told that ‘every research in mass communication should deal with the problems of society and therefore be published. “We don’t research for ourselves, we research for public,” she added.
This lecture was basically organised to let students understand the fundamentals of research.
She said, ‘Research is basically gaining knowledge to spread. Every research leaves its footprint for the further study’. She discussed each and every topic of dissertation of fourth semester students of Mass Communication.
Dr Dharmendra Singh, Associate Professor welcomed the guest and Prof. Govind Singh presented vote of thanks.
Dr. Bachha Babu, Rashid Ali, Archana Kumari and Manish Prakash were also present.
