CUJ conducts Induction Day

JAMMU: Central University of Jammu conducted its Induction Day at its Academic Block here on Wednesday. The induction day for post graduate students was formally conducted after the admission process concluded.
On the occasion, Prof. Ashok Aima Vice Chancellor CUJ was the Chief Guest, who apprised that the university has introduced new courses in sciences as integrated programmes. He informed that the university presently is running 34 programmes which include 12 research programmes, 15 post graduation programmes, four integrated programmes with exit option at honours level. Also, two vocational degree programmes and one diploma programme under the aegis of community college are being offered by the university.
He further added that the university has well established Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Council which promotes start ups. He also informed that the university has a research centre and is in the process of setting up major projects in collaboration with MHRD. He asked the students to be evaluative for excelling in life.
He assured that the students at CUJ would be provided with best curriculum, knowledge domain and would prepare the students to face life.
During the day induction kits were distributed to the students. The books and other essential items were also provided.
Earlier, Prof. Lokesh Verma welcomed the august gathering. All HoDs addressed the students and the event was coordinated by Prof. N.K Tripathi, Department of Life Sciences. Dr Neelika Arora conducted the proceedings of the day and Dr. Jaya Bhasin presented formal vote of thanks.
