CRPF organises 3 days Volleyball Tournament in Bhaderwah, 8 teams participating

BHADERWAH: With an aim to foster sports activities in the area by providing youths a platform to excel in sports and keep them away from drug addiction followed by to inculcate the sense of national integration, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 33 Battalion organising a three days Volleyball Tournament at Bhaderwah under Civic Action Programme 2024, which commences here on Friday.
The tournament is being played on volleyball court at CRPF HQ Sarna Bhaderwah under the supervision of Commandant CRPF 33 Battalion.
Commandant CRPF 33 Bn Arun Kumar Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the event in presence of other dignitaries. Sapan Suman, Dy Commandant, Pankaj Kumar Assistant Commandant, SM Pushpinder Mishra and others also accompanied the Chief Guest.
Total 8 teams from different areas of district Additional District Bhaderwah are participating in the tournament.
The inaugural match was played between High School Chinta and High School Sartingal, in which Sartingal register victory by 2-0 sets.
Commandant CRPF 33 Bn Arun Kumar Singh said that our mission is to provide a best platform to youths where they can showcase their skills and talent in a big way. “Such type of sporting events to connect with the Youths will be continued.”
“It’s the collective responsibility of parents, civil society members and forces to organize such type of events and provide platforms to keep the younger generation away from the scourge of Drugs Addiction, Anti-social/Anti-national Acts. This type of sporting activity is constructive engagements with the youth to make society a better place for the younger generation and to explore their hidden talents, “Singh added.
While talking to our Reporter Raja Rehber Jamal, the participating youth commended the efforts of the CRPF in organizing such events and expressed gratitude for promoting sports activities in the area.
Such kind of initiatives by the CRPF under civic action programme aimed at to strengthen relations and understanding between the forces and the general public, fostering trust and a better relationship.
Participants appreciated this step and hoped for the continuation of such innovative community partnership programs in the future as well.
