Crime Branch charge-sheets accused for producing forged document before Court

JAMMU: The Crime Branch Jammu has produced charge-sheet against an accused for producing forged document before Court.
As per an official spokesperson of the investigating agency, Crime Branch Jammu produced charge-sheet against one Pawan Kumar Sharma, son of Dharam Chand, resident of H. No. 65 Vaidya Colony, Bani District Kathua in a case registered under Sections 193 & 196 of RPC at Police Station Crime Branch, Jammu for keeping and producing fake and forged Driving license before the JMIC Bani, while disposal of traffic Challan under Section 3/181 of MVA by SHO Police Station Bani.
The accused happened to be a driver of vehicle (Trax Jeep). The instant charge-sheet has been produced before the Court of Munsif Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Bani for judicial determination.
He further said that a copy of order passed by Munsiff JMIC, Bani District Kathua was received in Crime Branch Jammu for necessary action under law.
The contents of communication revealed that while conducting trial of a traffic challan titled State V/s Pawan Kumar Sharma, the violator Pawan Kumar Sharma submitted his original Driving License before JMIC Bani, on perusal of which the Court observed some cuttings and over-writings, which raised suspicion about genuineness and authenticity of the licence. On this, a Preliminary verification was initiated in Crime Branch Jammu and during course of verification, it was found that accused had produced a fake and forged Driving license before JMIC Bani for disposal of traffic Challan. Accordingly formal case was registered in Crime Branch Jammu against him.
During the course of investigation, record pertaining to case was obtained and seized from the Court of JMIC, Bani. Moreover, for authentication of genuineness of the Driving License, a report was called from issuing authority Motor Vehicle Department Mainpuri (UP) which revealed that Driving License was not issued by the aforesaid authority and was fake and forged.
