JAMMU: President, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS), R.K Bhat said recent one more cabinet approval for creation of additional 3,000 supernumerary posts for Kashmiri migrants under the PM’s package is politically motivated approvals for their political gains.
“State Government has already given two cabinet approvals for the same the first approval was given by then Chief Minister Omar Abdullah followed by Mufti Mohd Sayeed and now Mahbooba Mufti,” he said adding that the Cabinet Decision No. 143/19/2011 dated August 19, 2011 for 221 is eye opener.
Due to its non-implementation 221 unemployed youth got compelled to approach to the Court of Law for justice, he said adding that the historical back ground of the 221 unemployed KP youth is a relentless effort of the YAIKS for full six years.
“We also condemned the threatening and provocative statement of Education Minister against the migrant employees,” he told reporters.
Does this government really bother about the safety, security and rehabilitation of these employees is a big question for all nationalist forces, he said.
AIKS demanded that the remaining posts out of sanctioned 6,000 jobs should be given with the procedure one family one job system with in time bound period on fast track basis, the process of recruitment should be given to any other Govt. agency other than SSRB to relax the rules and norms including merit provision, the selection should be purely on the basis of eligibility of candidates as per their qualification only being a rehabilitation scheme, one time compensation of Rs. 50 lakh in favour of over aged youth of the community, Govt. of India must create an autonomous body to monitor their sanctioned schemes for the welfare of Kashmiri migrants and the State Govt. should issue a white paper that what measures they have taken for the welfare and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits for last three decades and how much State exchequer is burdened and involved in it.
