COVID-19: Govt extends lockdown restrictions till January 31

JAMMU; The government on Wednesday extended lockdown restrictions in the region till January 31, 2021.
Earlier on Monday, the Ministry of Home Affairs had issued guidelines for implementation of the extended lockdown in Containment Zones (Red Zones) and continuation of unlock guidelines outside Containment Zones (Red Zones) till January 31, 2021.
“As such, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the State Executive Committee hereby orders that the guidelines/instructions issued vide J&K government’s Order No.91 and 92-JK-(DMRRR) of 2020 dated November 29, 2020 shall continue to remain valid January 31, 2021,’ reads the orders.
“All existing protocol/instructions shall also continue to remain valid till January 31, 2021,” it added.
