JAMMU: In a petition challenging the selection list of constables for Poonch District, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal after hearing Advocate Arshad Malik issued notice to State and others and in the meanwhile ordered that subject to objections, the select list for the posts of Constable under all the categories shall remain subject to further orders.
Advocate Arshad Malik submitted that the select list issued by the respondent whereby candidates selected on pick and choose manner and liberty was given to the candidates in written test to do cutting in their answer sheets while replying the questions. He further submitted that if a particular answer marked by the candidate is wrong, he can put a cross on the respective answer and mark another option available in particular question. “The aforementioned liberty given by the respondents raised serious question on the written test’s genuineness as it can be very easily manipulated”, he pointed out.
