JAMMU: In a complaint filed by one Rajeshwar Sabharwal, seeking legal action against the Proprietor/ Managing Partner of M/s Hind Agro Food, Barnai Road, Jammu, namely Ravinder Gupta, the Court of JMIC Forest Court, Jammu on Tuesday issued a notice to the accused and listed the matter for May 20, 2025.
Rohit Sharma, Judge, JMIC Forest Magistrate, Jammu, after hearing the Advocate for the complainant Rajeshwar Sabharwal, has issued the notice and called upon the accused Ravinder Gupta, Proprietor/Managing Partner of M/s Hind Agro Food, Barnai Road, Jammu.
In the complaint, the complainant has alleged that the accused got a news article published in the newspaper in which the accused made false statements with malafide intentions to defame him.
The newspaper article was allegedly published by the accused against the complainant, despite knowing that the statement/news being published in the daily newspaper was totally false and frivolous.
The same was published with malice, aiming to defame and injure the reputation of the complainant.
The Court, after hearing the Counsel for the complainant Rajeshwar Sabharwal, issued the notice in the complaint filed under Section 356 of BNS (offence of defamation) and listed the case for hearing on May 20, 2025.
