Court grants absolute bail to DGP’s daughter
JAMMU: Judicial Magistrate Jammu Susheel Singh on Monday granted absolute bail to Pooja, daughter of DGP K. Rajendra who was on interim bail since 26th September, 2014.
While making interim bail to absolute bail, Judicial Magistrate Susheel Singh observed that perusal of the case reveals that on 26th September, 2014 the accused person was granted interim bail subject to furnishing bail and personal bond to the sum of Rs 20,000 and however the bail was conditional with that the accused person shall appear before I/O two hours daily i.e. from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the period of interim bail, will cooperate with the investigating agency in smooth and early completion of investigation, shall not try to intimidate the evidence of the prosecution in any manner and will not leave the jurisdiction of the court without prior permission.
Court further observed that it appears that the applicant had appeared before investigating officer and fully cooperated with the investigating agencies for taking the investigation into its logical conclusion and also complied other conditions imposed by this Court by admitting her to interim bail. Court further observed that as the applicant complied with all the conditions imposed by the Court, investigating in the case almost complete; so in view of the Court it will be in the interest of justice in case the interim bail granted to applicant is made absolute and allowed the application and absolute the interim bail granted by this Court on 26th September, 2014.
Court further observed that the applicant is a student and studies at Delhi and she is at liberty to pursue her studies at Delhi and directed not to leave the country without permission till the disposal of main Challan. JNF
