JAMMU: Laxity in investigation and failure to submit FSL report by the investigation officer in the murder of one Ishwar Dass, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Rakesh Sagar Jain took serious note and directed SSP Jammu to take action against the investigation officer for dereliction of duty.
While directing SSP, Court observed that perusal of the Challan shows that the investigation officer during the probe had found strands of hair under finger nails of the deceased, As per Challan the officer had taken hair strands of the accused Roshan Lal for sending getting it tested at FSL and till date neither investigation officer nor the prosecution has presented the FSL report. It is apparent that this has been done deliberately otherwise there was no reason for the investigating officer to present the FSL report and directed prosecution to produce investigating officer as well as FSL report on next date of hearing and also directed SSP Jammu to take action against the investigating officer for dereliction of duty in not filling the FSL report.
