Court denies bail in Bakra Murder case

JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu R.S Jain on Monday rejected bail application of one of accused namely Deepak Kumar who was facing trial in much publicized Sanjay Kumar alias Bakra Murder case.
According to the police case against the accused Deepak Kumar that he conspired with Rajesh Dogra and Vicky Thakur for committing the murder of one Sanjay Kumar alias Bakra on 25th June, 2011. It is further alleged that Deepak Kumar had converted a double barrel into a short double barrel gun and provided the same to Rajesh Dogra for committing the murder of the Sanjay Kumar. While rejecting the bail application of the accused, Principal Sessions Judge after hearing Special Public Prosecutor R.K Kotwal appearing for the state observed that this Court is of the view that the severity and degree of punishment would be at higher side if the allegation leveled against the accused is proved to be true. Court further observed that the allegations leveled against the accused are very serious of nature and against the society. With these observations Court dismissed the bail application. JNF
