BHADARWAH: In a sensational turn of events, a couple was arrested on Tuesday by Doda Police for cold blooded murder of four members of a family including a toddler by setting the house on fire when they were sleeping during the intervening night of 29 February and 1st March.
As per police sources, four members of a family including a seven-month old toddler were charred to death in a mysterious fire, which broke out in their house at Dalyuon Gadan area during the intervening night of February 29 and March 1. In this regard, police started inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC.
Police while investigation on the matter found that a couple identified as Mangta Butt son of Lala Batt and his wife Shamshada Begum Resident of Gadan village had set the house on fire owing to some old enmity and they themselves have confessed the same before some Villagers.
A case under FIR Number 28/16 under Section 302, 436, 427 and 429 RPC has been registered at police station Doda and further investigation into the case is going on.
