JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani on Thursday conducted a counselling session for the girls of Class VI and VII. The session was conducted by Dr. Chand Trehan, Psychologist and counselor of the school.
Various issues were covered during the session like challenges related to adolescence and growing up. Her main focus was on growing up stage of a girl and she stressed on emotional, physical and social changes.
Talking about hygiene, she stressed that one should have a clean body and soul.
She also asked the girls to be aware of their surroundings as ‘safety saves’. She told them not to put themselves in vulnerable state and be cautious when alone.
While interacting with the students, she guided them to be loyal and truthful toward their parents.
She also paid importance to girls’ individual problems and guided them accordingly.
At the conclusion of the session, Director JK Educational Society, Brig. Sukhdev Singh addressed the girls. He said that daughters are more important in a family as they are the foundation of discipline in life.
He said that girls
should conduct themselves in a dignified manner as
small things make a big
difference.
