Corruption more dangerous than terrorism: Forum

JAMMU: J&K Anti-Corruption Forum on Sunday stated that corruption is proving more detrimental than the existing terrorism in the State.
Addressing the meeting of the Forum held under the Chairmanship of Mohd Ayoub Gujjar, the speakers said that terrorists strike once but damage caused through corruption is a continuous process affecting society badly. Functioning of several departments especially Revenue is marred by corruption as no work is being done without bribing the helmsmen.
The meeting vowed to fight the menace of corruption and also assured to expose the corrupt officials.
Later, in the meeting office bearers of the Forum were elected unanimously. The newly elected office bearers include Mohd Ayoub Gujjar as President, Mohd Anees Choudhary as General Secretary, Lal Hussain Lodha as Vice President, Mohd Anwar as Secretary, Noor Mohd as Publicity Secretary, Beli Ram as Cashier, and Sham Sunder Bakshi, Mohd Shabir and Ram Lal, all members.
