Corruption, crime touching pinnacle under Modi’s rule: Manohar

JAMMU: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma senior Congress leader, former Minister and General Secretary PCC on Monday alleged that corruption and crime have achieved new heights under the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that Modi under the garb of righteousness is adopting dual standards by allowing his party-men including ministers and associates to loot people of their hard earned money whereas preaching others to remain honest and worthy.
He further alleged that Modi is projecting that only BJP and its functionaries are honest and others including Congress and even common masses are black marketeers and black money holders.
Countering Modi’s stand, Manohar leveled serious charges against BJP Ministers, MPs and leaders of being corrupt and involved in scams in the last two and half years of Modi’s rule. He said that Modi government failed to contain the corruption and did nothing to enquire about the truth and instead gave suo moto clean chit indicating that all hands are in glove.
He specially mentioned Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh in which more than 45 people have lost their lives and embezzlement of thousands of crores of rupees is being alleged with the involvement of Chief Minister Shiv Raj Singh Chouhan and his family besides cabinet colleagues and various leaders of State BJP and RSS.
He further citied various other instances alleging BJP involvement in various scams including Lalit Gate Scam in which role of Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundara Raje Scindia came under scanner, Maharashtra Social Welfare Minister Pankja Munde’s involvement in multi-crore scam of allotment of supply orders without adopting codal formalities, Vinod Karvekar I&FC Minister invovement in irrigation allotment scam, involvement of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and his family member in Food and Supply scam worth crores, land allotment on nominal rates to Hema Malini in Maharashtra and Anandi Ben’s daughter in Gujarat, recent corruption case of Jammu and Kashmir in which BJP Ministers were involved and Rs. 13.50 crore, one high end car and a flat was charged from BJP MLC to grant NoC to establish housing colony and also old currency notes worth crores had been intercepted by the police and income tax authority from the official vehicles of two senior BJP Ministers.
He said that the scam of demonetisation in which lakhs of crores of rupees are involved is the biggest scam of country since Independence affecting the life of common people badly. Alleging that all the illegal money transaction cases are of BJP Ministers and leaders and no other person from any other political party surfaced till now, Manohar asked what action BJP has taken against these scamsters?
“Nation wants that Prime Minister and BJP President Amit Shah and the whole leadership of BJP should act against these corruption cases to come clear”, he said.
