KATHUA: An over speeding truck crushed a Head Constable who was on duty at Chadwal Chowk on Jammu – Pathankot National Highway during the intervening night of 17/18 June, 2016.
The Head Constable Subash Chander son of Babu Ram resident of Shapaki, Hiranagar who was on duty at Chadwal Chowk tried to push away a cow sitting in the middle of the road, when truck hit him and was killed on the spot.
The Police have seized the truck bearing registration No PB06N-8085 while its driver managed to flee by taking benefit of the dark. A case has been registered at Police Station Raj Bagh for investigation.
