SRINAGAR: All contractual employees working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) observed pen-down strike all over the State here on Tuesday against the non-implementation of the decision of 11th meeting of Executive Committee regarding the enhancement of salary of contractual employees engaged under SSA.
The contractual employees assembled in the premises of the Directorate of SSA, Bemina Srinagar to register their protest.
Later on, the pen down strike was deferred for two days on the assurance of State Project Director, SSA that the necessary orders regarding the enhancement of salary of the contractual employees engaged under SSA shall be issued within two days.
