Contractors demand release of payments

KISHTWAR: A meeting of Contractors Welfare Association (CWA) Kishtwar was held under the chairmanship of Tanveer Mintoo in which all the participants criticised the State administration.
While speaking in the meeting, Mintoo said that contractors of Kishtwar are facing lots of problems due to financial crunch in treasuries but no one is paying any heed.
He demanded immediate release of pending liabilities in treasuries as they have spent money while doing construction works.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Rajinder Wazir of the Association said that the bureaucrats are getting their salary in the first week of every month, for them there is no financial problem but for contractors there is a financial problems.
All speakers said that if their liabilities are not cleared within a week, they will launch a strong protest against the administration.
They requested Governor N.N Vohra to personally intervene into the matter and redress the same.
Those who were present include Javed Iqbal, Ravi Shan, Farooq Sheikh, Surjeet Kotwal, Sandeep Parihar, Sobha Ram, Payar Singh and lrshad Butt.
