JAMMU: A contractor got injured when two groups clashed over tenders in Civil Secretariat Complex in Jammu on Saturday.
The trouble started when two groups of contractors entered into verbal brawl over an issue of job tenders in the Civil Secretariat Complex ahead of Darbar Move, police said.
The situation took an ugly turn when one of the contractors, identified as Pallav Sharma, hit another contractor K.D Singh with a piece of glass. Singh received severe head injury and was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital.
Police said, “We acted swiftly on receiving information and arrested the accused and a case under sections 341, 323 of RPC has been registered. The accused was however, bailed out late in the evening.”
