JAMMU: Contractors under the banner of Contractors Association Jammu Province on Friday held a protest against the government demanding deferring of PAO system till all the pending payments are cleared.
A large number of contractors gathered at Irrigation Complex, Canal Road, here and held protest in support of their demands for payments of work done by them for the last more than three years under AIBP Schemes and desilting of all the canals in Jammu province.
The contractors decided that no work will be taken in hand till our all claims are settled.
“Not even single contractor will participate in the tendering process of the Irrigation and Ravi Tawi and Flood Control Departments,” asserted Sham Singh Jamwal, President of the Association.
