SAMBA: A deputation of consumers led by Sarpanch Mandi Kaili, Samba met the TSO Samba on Friday against the supply of 3 Kg wheat instead of Atta and 2 kg rice per member of the family. The deputation strongly rejected the new scheme of reducing the quantity of ration and supplying wheat instead of Atta. Mocking at the scheme they said that after some time the consumers would be given paddy instead of rice which is merely a joke with the consumers.
The TSO gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that they would get Atta next month and that the quantity of ration would also be increased.
Prominent among those present in the deputation include Panch Pawan Kohli, Panch Baldev Raj, ex-panch Thodo Devi, Debo Devi, Balwant Kumar, Madan Lal, Sukh Ram and Vinod Kumar.
