JAMMU: General Secretary, All J and K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (Regd.) Jammu, Madan Lal Banalia claimed that Executive Committee and Working Committee of the Sabha unilaterally formed by the Piran Ditta on 15th July, 2015 was illegal and against the provisions of Constitution of Sabha.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Madan Lal urged deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh for declaration of Executive Committee and Working Committee as null and void as it is being framed without the consent, knowledge and consultation of elected General Secretary. “Previous election was conducted under the supervision of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and result was declared on 12th April 2015. Piran Ditta was elected as President and myself was elected as General Secretary,” Madan said.
He added that Piran Ditta constituted Working Committee without consulting him as mandated in Constitution of Sabha and this Committee was stayed by Court. “Piran Ditta even expelled me as General Secretary and nominated Raj Kumar as Senior General Secretary despite he has no power to expel elected General Secretary and nominate defeated General Secretary,” Madan alleged.
Piran Ditta, he said, called a General Body meeting on 12th March 2017 and constituted Election Board of Sabha.
Piran never called General Body Meeting as per norms of Constitution of Sabha, he said adding that Piran Ditta invited 30-35 favourite members of Biradari and terms the meeting as General Body meeting.
He requested Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to intervene into the matter and to constitute Election Board so that membership is completed as per Rule 4 of Constitution of Sabha which contains that all the members of Biradari above the age of 18 years are eligible for membership who may be registered and election is held in most free and fair manner.
Others present in press conference included Puran Chand Atri, Tara Chand Sambyal, Banarsi Dass, Des Raj, Tarsem Lal, Krishan Lal, Subedar Pukhu Ram, Sat Pal, D.D Shivgortra and Capt. Tarsem Lal.
