JAMMU: Justice Janak Raj Kotwal of J&K High Court issued notice to State and directed that subject to objections, respondents shall accord consideration to the grievance of the petitioner for his placement as I/C Chief Engineer, take decision in this regard and furnish report to this Court along with their reply
The order comes while taking up a petition filed by Ashok Kumar Pradhan that two I/C Superintending Engineers, namely, Shesh Kumar Sharma and Rajiv Kumar Gandotra, juniors to him, were placed as Chief Engineers on Incharge basis and seeking direction to state to consider him for the post of Incharge Chief Engineer.
His grievances that even after his exoneration from the charge, respondents are not according consideration to his placement as Chief Engineer even though four vacancies are available. It is stated that petitioner has submitted a representation in this regard after his exoneration but his grievance has not been redressed.
After hearing Adv Rahul Pant, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal observed that Prima facie case for showing indulgence has been found and issued notice to State returnable within four weeks and ordered that subject to objections, respondents shall accord consideration to the grievance of the petitioner for his placement as I/C Chief Engineer, take decision in this regard and furnish report to this Court along with their reply.
