Congress to organise ‘Yuva Sankalap Yatra’ on May 13

JAMMU: Pradesh youth Congress is going to organize a mega “Yuva Sankalp Yatra” from Jammu to Kashmir on 13th May, 2015 said Dr. Umashankar Pandey National Secretary of Indian Youth Congress and Incharge of Jammu and Kashmir State unit of PYC, while addressing the media persons, here on Monday.

Pandey also revealed that National President of Youth Congress Amrinder Singh Raja, MLA Gidarbha from Punjab will lead this Yatra to expose the double standards of the BJP-PDP government in the State and to protest against the failure of the government in addressing the youth related issues, especially, unemployment.

He added that the recently introduced recruitment policy of the BJP-PDP Government is a cruel joke with the talented youth of the State and Youth Congress will fight for the revocation of this policy.

Pranav Shagotra, President Pradesh Youth Congress, Rajveer Manhas, General Secretary, PYC and Satish Sharma LYC President Jammu-Poonch briefed the media persons about the details of Yatra and future course of youth congress in the State.

Giving the details of programme, Pranav revealed that Youth Congress activists are going to organize the “Yuva Sankalap Yatra”  to protest against the PDP-BJP government for failure in addressing youth related issues including the adaptation recent requirement  policy and the Yatra will be flagged off  on May 13, 2015  at 12:00 noon from Jambu Lochan Hall, Near District Jail Amphalla, Jammu to Srinagar.

He added that, Youth Congress activists shall start rally from Jambu Lochan Hall, and will proceed to Kashmir via Nagrota, Domail, Udhampur, Chenani and Patnitop. The rally shall halt for the night at Patnitop and will continue journey towards Srinagar via Batote, Ramban, Banihal, Anantnag, Bijbhera and finally will reach to Lal Chowk Srinagar on the evening of 14th May.

A large number of Youth Congress Activists led by Raja Amrinder Singh Brar MLA, National President, Indian Youth Congress, Dr. Umashankar Pandey National Secretary Incharge Jammu and Kashmir and President, Pranav Shagotra Pradesh Youth Congress will express their protest through this rally against the government’s failure in addressing the issues related to youth.

Senior youth congress including  Jitender Chib, Vijay Magotra, Ricky Dalgotra, Chetan Wanchoo, Sandeep Singh and Jagjot Singh were present in the press conference.
