Congress remain steady on secularism, equitable development of J&K: Bhalla

REASI: The Working President of JKPCC and Congress candidate for the Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary seat, Raman Bhalla, spoke at various election gatherings in Reasi District, where he observed large public turnouts in favour of Congress candidates.
Bhalla emphasized that Congress is emerging as the top choice for people in the Jammu region due to its secular and democratic principles, contrasting it with what he described as the divisive tactics of the current administration.
“Congress is the only secular, democratic alternative to the present dispensation which believes in divide, crush and rule. Winds of change are blowing in J&K and Congress is emerging as a first choice in J&K in view of the consistency in its policy and secular credentials,” Bhalla said while election gatherings at Shajroo, Maore, Rangli, Badar, Sungri, Chasana, Sanglikot, Kundan in Reasi District.
Bhalla said Congress remains committed to its principles of secularism, equality, and equitable development for Jammu and Kashmir.
He expressed confidence in the strength of Congress booth units and their ability to secure victory in the electoral battle for the Jammu-Reasi constituency.
Bhalla asserted that Congress would continue to fight against what he deemed as anti-people policies of the central government and the administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
He pledged to uphold transparency and accountability in governance, citing Congress’s track record of strengthening democratic institutions during its tenure.
Regarding the division of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, Bhalla lamented the perceived lack of progress and stated that the region had suffered losses as a result.
Bhalla conveyed Congress’s commitment to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir and its aspiration to form the next government in the region.
He positioned Congress as the primary political force providing constructive opposition at the national level.
