Congress leader visits various villages, took stock of people’s grievances

UDHAMPUR: Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra on Friday conducted toured several villages adjoining Krimchi and Pathi areas in Udhampur and listened to people’s grievances.
It was informed that Congress team visited villages include Tarimlaid, Nud and Dabedde and listen the problems of the people. Local people appraised the Congress leader about heavy curtailment of electricity in their respective areas from last one month resulting in rise in cases of snake bite. Resident of these areas also disclosed that majority of deserving families are issued below poverty line status resulting they are bound to purchase food grains from open market instead of Ration Depots. People also informed that maximum Govt schools of these areas functioning facing shortage of teaching staff and many times they brought this issue into the notice of authorities concerned but still concerned department is unable to depute required staff.
While interaction with the local people of these areas Magotra expressed that at present people of urban and rural areas are facing scarcity of drinking water, irregular supply of electricity but authorities concerned have shut their eyes and are not taking seriously these problems. He also said that he has observed many school buildings of this hilly areas are in deteriorated condition. Magotra expressed that only Congress party can serve the people of rural areas and remote villages. He appealed the people to demonstrate against the misrule of J&K UT.
He also assured them that he will brought their problems into the notice of the authorities concerned of district administration.
