Congress delegation visits GMC Hospital, enquires, Poonch injured

JAMMU: A delegation of senior Congress leaders led by former Minister & Working President JKPCC Raman Bhalla, along with Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former MLC I/C PCC HQ Ved Mahajan, Chief Media Coordinator Neeraj Gupta on Thursday visited GMC Hospital Jammu to enquire about the injured persons of Pakistan firing in Poonch District yesterday.

They enquired about the condition of the injured from the Principal Medical College Jammu Dr. Ashutosh Gupta and other doctors present there and the available facilities for treatment.
The injured persons expressed satisfaction over the kind of treatment and facilities for them for the doctors and staff.
The Principal revealed that they have all the required facilities for this advanced treatment and all injured were responding to the treatment except one patient who was referred outside to PGI.
The principal also revealed that volunteers are donating blood as per requirement, so far and sought the co-operation of all.
Bhalla assured the hospital administration of all sorts of help in case of more need and already volunteers are rendering help and donating blood. The injured disclosed that so far they have not been given any financial aid by the administration.
The Congress leaders appealed to the concerned administration to immediately provide financial aid to the injured, so that they don’t suffer. An injured belonged to Bihar and was on duty in Civil Dept. in Poonch.
Speaking to waiting media persons at GMC hospital, Bhalla and Sharma said that they had come to express sympathy and solidarity with the injured and send out a message that entire nation is together for dealing with the enemy.
Congress Party is fully with the armed forces and the Govt. and the border people at this juncture, they added.
They condemned Pakistan for targetting civilian population in Poonch, Rajouri, Uri, Kupwara etc. which shows her shameful and inhuman approach of Pakistan.
They said congress party is fully behind forces to go ahead, as per requirement and vacate the POK areas under illegal occupation of Pakistan. It is for the Govt and armed forces to decide. We shall remain shoulder to shoulder with our forces and the people at this juncture.
They disclosed that party shall take out a peaceful Tringa Yatra in Jammu City, tomorrow at 6.00 PM onwards to salute the armed forces for their bravery and in support our border population.
