CHANDIGARH: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday blasted the Congress high command for promoting nepotism in the party.
“By nominating Priyanka Vadra for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat the Congress has once again proved that it is a family party in which interests of all family members are protected and promoted”, Chugh said in a statement.
He said it is not only cheating the voters of the Wayanad constituency but also defeats the basic tenets of democracy.
If Priyanka was so keen to become an MP , she should have contested in the recent Lok Sabha elections instead of going in for her brother’s seat, Chugh added.
