‘Cong, NC’s tall claims only to overshadow social justice’

JAMMU: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) on Friday said that tall claims made by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Prof Saif-ud-Din and Omar Abdullah on equitable development of three regions constitute a fraudulent move to overshadow social justice.
Resenting over the statements of Azad for equitable development and personal watch of development of every constituency by Omar Abdullah, members of AIBCU in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik said that these hollow slogans are nothing but a treacherous move to overshadow the constitutional rights of people.
The meeting said that these leaders have been tested by the people of the State in general and State Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in particular who have been cheated and looted by the National Conference and Congress since the Apex Court’s Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report. “These parties have no respect for the Constitution and Supreme Court of India and that is the reason Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had not accepted the demand of State OBCs projected through AIBCU on 17th September 2013 under which no category including RBA/ALC has to lose its due share”, they added.
The meeting also condemned formation of State OBC Advisory and Development Board for its non productive way of functioning. Members decried that Chairman Omar Abdullah and Vice-Chairman Kuldeep Raj Verma have occupied the posts only to deceive the State OBCs and failed to conduct any meaningful meeting.
“A ruling political party without the deliverance of social justice cannot claim for any development because development and social justice are correlated and one without the other is never possible”, they maintained. Speakers appealed to the State OBCs to remain vigilant against the so called OBC leaders in different political parties who are hell-bent to satiate their vested interests.
Shakeel Malik, Abdul Rashid Malik, Mohammad Hanief Qureshi, Puran Chargotra, Head Master Sandokh Chand, Master Sain Dass and Prof Kali Dass also spoke on occasion.
