DELHI/CHANDIGARH: In a major political shift, senior Congress leaders Ranjit Singh Dhillon (Rana Gandiwind), Chairman Block Samiti & Coordinator PPCC, and Advocate Jagmeet Dhillon Gandiwind, Spokesperson Punjab Congress and President Block Congress Committee Gandiwind, Halka Tarn Taran, on Saturday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The joining took place in the presence of BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh.
Welcoming the leaders into the party fold, Tarun Chugh said that their decision reflects the growing trust of Punjab’s people in the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that leaders across the state are now realising that BJP is the only party committed to development, good governance and national interest.
Chugh said that the failure and mismanagement of the Aam Aadmi Party government has pushed Punjab into crisis, while the Congress party continues to be trapped in nepotism and directionless leadership. This situation has forced genuine grassroots leaders to look for a platform that values their commitment and dedication to Punjab.
Both Sardar Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Advocate Jagmeet Dhillon expressed confidence that under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Punjab will witness new heights of stability, progress and inclusive development in the coming years.
