JAMMU: Government SPMR College of Commerce bagged the overall trophy in the inter-college boxing event securing highest 16 points earned out of gold, three silver and two bronze medals. The competition was organised by the Director of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU) at J and K Police boxing rings, Gulshan Ground, here on Wednesday.
The Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua remained at second place with 14 points secured from two gold, silver and bronze medals.
The winner SPMR College of Commerce presented the title trophy by Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia.
Meanwhile, the weightlifting contest was in progress and shall compete tomorrow with the holding finals.
