CM used Valley youth for achieving political objectives: Mir
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Congress emphasised that the Chief Minister cannot hide her failures and betrayal of her party with the youth of Kashmir after achieving political objectives through means of unachievable slogans aimed at exploitation of their sentiments.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, JKPCC Chief G.A Mir said that the Chief Minister’s appeal to the youth to buy peace for jobs may sound well for public consumption but she needs to explain who used them as fodder for achieving political objectives to rise to the ladder of power and then betrayed and pushed them to the wall.
Mir questioned who exploited the sentiments of youth of Kashmir for the political objectives of attaining power through backdoor by forgetting the slogans and promises made during elections, which left them feel betrayed and cheated, after having given mandate to the PDP on the basis of their unachievable agenda.
Mir said that everybody yearns for peace which is paramount for the overall welfare and progress but where are jobs for such a large number of unemployed youth, while the fact remains that pick and chose policy, favoritism and backdoor appointments would further alienate the deserving youth.
PCC Chief said that people of State especially youth of Valley are also aware of the compulsion of the PDP leadership to come out with allurements on the eve of by elections to the two Lok Sabha seats in the Valley and Panchayat elections in the State.
Mir said that Mehbooba Mufti should first apologise the youth for first using them as political fodder and secondly for her failure to address their issues and pushing them to the wall resulting into death of over hundred of them while thousands others were left maimed and blinded for which she has to own the responsibility. He questioned where have gone the election promises of her party and the Agenda of Alliance to the address concerns and issues of the youth. “The opportunist and unholy politics of PDP and failure of the present government on all fronts is one of the major contributor to the resentment and anger of the youth in the Valley,” he added.
