CM meets Doda accident victims

JAMMU: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, on Monday afternoon visited Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital here to enquire about the health of those persons who were seriously injured in yesterday’s tragic bus accident, near Dhara, in Doda district.
Six persons were killed and over 30 injured, out of which 10 seriously injured were shifted to Jammu late last night.
Minister for Health, Bali Baghat, MoS for H and ME, Asiea Naqash and Secretary, H and ME, Dr. M.K Bhandari accompanied the Chief Minister.
She was also briefed by a team of doctors, led by Principal, GMC, Dr. Zahid Gillani, about the treatment being extended to the persons undergoing treatment. She directed Dr. Gillani to extend best-possible treatment to those injured in the accident and shift one patient who may require specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori visited GMC Jammu to enquire about the health of Doda accident victims. Saroori interacted with the patient’s attendants and assured them all necessary assistance.
PDP legislators Aijaz Mir and Firdous Tak also visited GMC to enquire about the condition of passengers injured in a road mishap in Doda district. Accompanied by General Secretary Youth and former Media Analyst in CM’s Private Office Tahir Sayed, the legislators met all the accident victims admitted in the hospital. They interacted with the doctors treating the injured to know about the present condition and line of treatment. Tak demanded adequate treatment and financial assistance to the injured.
