JAMMU: “Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti immensely hates State Subject PoK refugees since the day, she has been holding the regime of Jammu and Kashmir State”, Rajiv Chuni, Chairman SOS International, an organisation for PoK displaced persons, said in rally held, here on Sunday.
Chuni stated that the present BJP-PDP Coalition Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti has done such things which are not expected by any head of the state.
“It’s unfortunate that the foremost victims of the State are not providing justice for the last seven decades.
All the successive governments talked for other communities but none of the governments have talked about State Subject PoK refugees,” Chuni said adding that no one has shown any commitment to resolve the issues pertaining for destitute community of Jammu and Kashmir.
“State Subject PoK refugees that are 12 lakh in number are being deprived of their rights for a long time and this time no injustice will be tolerated,” he asserted. “BJP made several tall promises to State Subject PoK refugees before elections but it took U-turn after election which is in no way called humane,” he added. “Governments and political parties have been deceiving State Subject PoK refugees since 1947 and it’s not new for us but the sort of deliberate attempts to keep us away from our legitimate rights can be proved fatal to Chief Minister’s political career,” Chuni added.
Chuni further said that government should stop playing its slavish gimmicks otherwise it should get ready to face the wrath of State Subject PoK refugees in coming time.
Prof. J.S Mangal Vice Chairman SOS International, suggested the gathering that they must approach to UN for redressel of their issues because the Central and State Government are unnecessarily tossing their issues on one or other pretext.
Lalit Kumar conducted stage proceedings while others who also spoke were Roshan Lal, Roshan Malhotra, Prof. NN Sharma, OP Khajuria, VK Dutta, Virinder Khajuria, Dr. JP Sharma, GS Isher and Sanjeev Suri.
